This fight is a REALLY big fight because Frank Mir is the former UFC heavyweight champion and Mirko Cro Cop is the former PRIDE Open Weight Champion.

Back when PRIDE was around everyone wanted to know who had the better fighters UFC or PRIDE. So that makes this an exciting fight because these are two former champs from either organization.
Mirko is from Croatia and Frank is American and Mirko feels that Frank has a disrespectful attitude. Frank wants to finish Mirko and isn’t impressed by Cro Cops last win.
I used to train with Frank and he comes across a certain way on TV but in person there’s more to him than the stuff he says on TV. He was one of the coolest guys I’ve met and always helped me with my training always willing to show moves and just a really helpful guy.
Anyway I’m picking FRANK MIR to win by sub. I think Frank is too big too strong and too technical for Mirko. Cro Cop hits hard and has good kicks but I think his better days are behind him even though he is one of the most talented entertaining and fun to watch fighters ever.
The other big fights on UFC 119 are Bader vs Nogueria and Sherk vs Dunham
I pick Bader to Ground and Pound Nogueria and I’m really torn between Sherk and Dunham. I’ll go with Sherk by Decision because Dunham is talented but Sherk’s a vet.
