TUF Tryouts – Ultimate Fighter Auditions

Hey. I tried out for The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV.

It was really fun grappling in front of Dana White and Joe Silva.

I ran into some of my buddies and training partners from acroos the country and world. Ryan Bigler, Joe Ray, Dave Terrel and a bunch of other people.

So I just got the video up of me ,my girlfriend Face, my dear friend Jay Kapp and Richboy all at Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory from MTV.

The Fantasy Factory is SUPER TIGHT! It’s sooo much fun!!! It’s like a big playground for ground ups! My favorite part was the foam pit! I dived off the diving board into it and rode the bike up the ramp into it A LOT. This video shows my 1st attempt at jumping into the foam with the bike but by the end of the day I was REALLY good at it. Catching AIR and whatnot.

Anyway I was a big fan of Rob and Big on MTV and I’m now a fan of Rob’s show with Drama, Fantasy Factory, so it was really cool to go up there meet them hang out and go wild with all their toys!

So big THANK YOU to Rob and Drama for all the hospitality! That place is awesome!

What up!

In between my MMA fights I like to travel and I just got back from L.A.

While I was out there I met up with my lifelong friend JayKapp who is a music producer out there.

Anyway.. I get to his house and it turns out Platinum Rapper Richboy lives on his couch.. Richboy’s made a long of songs including Throw Some D’s On It.. and has an album coming out soon. He also has a mansion he can stay at but would rather stay at Jay’s house because there’s a studio in the living room and it’s in Brentwood which is closer to everything.

Anyway Rich is a super cool dude and in between talking about how to go from being broke to getting famous and everything else we made a video together for my roommate who couldn’t be there. It’s kind of hard to understand him when he talks so I started calling him the black Boomhower (King of the hill reference).

Next time I go to L.A. we’ll do a video about his thoughts on MMA.. He’s got some pretty funny stories. Stay tuned.

So here’s the story

My boy JayKapp called me up and told me our friend Richboy was performing at the Lexani Festival in Anaheim.

So as I was getting ready to drive out to LA I realized that because I lose so much weight before mma fights and put so much back on after fights that my belt was all messed up.

I have a sliver belt buckle that weighs like 4 lbs and the belt wouldn’t even hold it up anymore.

So with a couple hours left I was on a search for a new belt.

Which led me to hot topic where they have a bunch of interesting belts.. and I wanted to buy a belt with bullets on it.

I never bought a bullet belt before because War Machine had one and I didn’t want to wear the same belt as him.. it was already bad enough when Fate and I showed up at Penthouse Club wearing the same belt buckle but at least that’s kind of cool because its like.. “Yeah we both have on $3,000 belt buckles.. we’re both fly.. so what?”

But anyway War Machine’s going to be away for a year (it is what it is) so I feel comfortable knowing that I can rock a bullet belt for the next 12 months without running into him at a club wearing the same thing.

BUT THEY WERE ALL OUT OF BULLET BELTS AT HOT TOPIC!

Except for the tiny ball of energy that was Desha the Hot Topic employee..

She had on a bullet belt.. but there we’re 2 problems.. it was HER belt.. and she was a TINY girl.. probably 90lbs or less.

But hey I don’t let anything in life stop me from getting what i want so I asked .. “Hey weird question.. Want to sell your belt?” She said sure but she didn’t think it’d fit me..

Now I know I’M BUFF but I have a deceptively small waist… I just have massive shoulders etc lol

But yeah I said I could try it on .. she let me.. and 13 bucks later I had a brand new bullet belt on!

The belt is missing one bullet but for 13 bucks you can’t beat it and i think it missing a bullet makes it cooler!

Anyway it’s an awesome belt and an awesome story and I will tell tales of Desha’s open mindedness and generosity for years to come! And if you see me out and about you can check it out in person.

I just have to remember not to go to airports with it! lol

So.. unless you’ve been living under a rock haha you know I’m getting ready for my fight July 9th at Tachi Palace Fights.

I’ve been training a lot and blogging it all on my Facebook .. so go ahead and add me on there if you haven’t already.
