So here’s the story

My boy JayKapp called me up and told me our friend Richboy was performing at the Lexani Festival in Anaheim.

So as I was getting ready to drive out to LA I realized that because I lose so much weight before mma fights and put so much back on after fights that my belt was all messed up.

I have a sliver belt buckle that weighs like 4 lbs and the belt wouldn’t even hold it up anymore.

So with a couple hours left I was on a search for a new belt.

Which led me to hot topic where they have a bunch of interesting belts.. and I wanted to buy a belt with bullets on it.

I never bought a bullet belt before because War Machine had one and I didn’t want to wear the same belt as him.. it was already bad enough when Fate and I showed up at Penthouse Club wearing the same belt buckle but at least that’s kind of cool because its like.. “Yeah we both have on $3,000 belt buckles.. we’re both fly.. so what?”

But anyway War Machine’s going to be away for a year (it is what it is) so I feel comfortable knowing that I can rock a bullet belt for the next 12 months without running into him at a club wearing the same thing.

BUT THEY WERE ALL OUT OF BULLET BELTS AT HOT TOPIC!

Except for the tiny ball of energy that was Desha the Hot Topic employee..

She had on a bullet belt.. but there we’re 2 problems.. it was HER belt.. and she was a TINY girl.. probably 90lbs or less.

But hey I don’t let anything in life stop me from getting what i want so I asked .. “Hey weird question.. Want to sell your belt?” She said sure but she didn’t think it’d fit me..

Now I know I’M BUFF but I have a deceptively small waist… I just have massive shoulders etc lol

But yeah I said I could try it on .. she let me.. and 13 bucks later I had a brand new bullet belt on!

The belt is missing one bullet but for 13 bucks you can’t beat it and i think it missing a bullet makes it cooler!

Anyway it’s an awesome belt and an awesome story and I will tell tales of Desha’s open mindedness and generosity for years to come! And if you see me out and about you can check it out in person.

I just have to remember not to go to airports with it! lol

Hulk Hogan's Nephew David Bollea Undefeated In MMA

It was my friend Angie’s birthday the other day and since I won my fight and don’t have another mma fight scheduled anytime soon.. I get to eat human food.

So we went out to California Pizza Kitchen at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas where I was shocked surprised and DISRESPECTED when I got there.

When I’m not training for an MMA fight I like to eat!!

So I ordered the buffalo chicken for an appetizer ($5.49usd) to start and couldn’t believe what the waiter brought out to me.

It was the SMALLEST portion of chicken I’ve ever been served in my life. Even less than when I was a little kid eating chicken nuggets,

Then to add to the disrespect this place takes a piece of celery.. cuts it into 8ths.. then cuts that little 8th into 4 PIECES and puts them on the plate next to the chicken like they did something.

To top it off the waiter comes out and serves me this plate with a straight face.

Who does this guy think I am?? Like really.. .do I look like THAT guy who you can just disrespect with chicken??

I guess so. lol

Oh well. We went to Grand Lux Cafe later that night and made up for it. GLC served my GF a chicken sandwich as big as her head!!

Now I’m hungry again. I’m going to have a lot of weight to cut for my next fight. Haha

I was teaching MMA/Grappling class the other day at Striking Unlimited and got tickled during the MMA Grappling Training.

When I first watched UFC I didn’t know where to train.

There were no blogs giving away 7 FREE MMA Videos ^^^^ (hint hint)

But one day my friend came up to me with his buddy and told me that his buddy trained Mixed Martial Arts.. You know that UFC stuff.

They said they we’re doing a tournament called GrapplersQuest that took place at a local high school and you could do submissions on your opponent.

I had never trained before but decided to sign up because my friend Ryan’s friend Hosea had bleached tips in his hair and I figured if THIS GUY can fight I certainly can!! (Hosea and I are now great friends by the way)

I didn’t have the money for classes but I would watch my friends train then go practice the moves I in the park at night after class.

My friend Ryan and I would wrestle in the grass. Sometimes Hosea would come too.

I ended up entering GrapplersQuest and competing in the Novice Division where I made it all the way to the finals.

I had never been that tired in my entire life and ended up losing in the finals due to exhaustion.

That set a FIRE off in me. I knew two things. 1. I had potential. and 2. I HATED losing.

Well several years later they’re out of the high schools and have moved into Mandalay Bay and hotels and casinos all across the country.

Even though I fight MMA on TV and have been around the world doing Mixed Martial Arts. I still compete in GrapplersQuest to this day I’ve become dear friends with the owner Brian Cimins and GQ even sponsors me because I got my start there.

It’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever done in my life and probably the best run tournament I have ever entered!

I’m not the only one either SO MANY UFC Fighters still compete in GrapplersQuest to this day. I can’t even name them all but you’ll see some of them in this video.

It’s real proof of what a great tournament GQ is!

Anyway enjoy the video and if you want to test your skill and see what it’s like to compete against someone of your own skill level or even step up and challenge the best GrapplersQuest is the place to do it!

They have divisions for every skill level and weight Mens,Womens,Kids,Masters ..everything. I can’t recommend GQ more highly. It’s where I got my start and my home to this day!
